Thanks for your thoughtful response, Robert. I’ll read your links and bounce them off Smith’s assessment. Perhaps I misunderstood some of his claims, but your wide-sweeping critique makes that less likely. This will take weeks to fit in with other projects, but it’s sure to be instructive.
