Excellent comment, Sharon. And well written. Had I the 1st line from your 4th paragraph as reference, I’d have made more sense. You forced me to revise that paragraph for greater clarity of the equivalence you note, and which I was trying to communicate.

And we agree, morality too evolves. As seen, from Ur Nammu’s first extant law codes, onward. Unfortunately, as current national and global experience prove, morality can also devolve.
